PJH Group has launched the 'ECO' bathroom.
Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 4:39PM The PJH Group has launched the 'ECO' bathroom under its Moods range, a new water-efficient bathroom that is both fashionably compact and eco-friendly. Designed with the Government’s revised Building Regulations Part G Standard in mind, the new ECO suite is the ideal choice to meet the new water-efficiency goal of 125 litres per person, per day, soon to be applicable on all new build homes (current average water use is 150 litres per person).

WC’s use about 30% of the water used in an average household, and many older style models can use up to 13 litres per flush. The new ECO close-coupled WC reduces this dramatically featuring a dual flush with the industry’s lowest WC water usage to date – a perfect flush at either 4 litres or just 2.6 litres. With an average household flushing 5,000 times a year it’s apparent of the savings to be made with the ECO loo – both financially and environmentally.
The ECO Bath from Moods is equally as water-efficient, cleverly designed and shaped with a reduced depth, to offer luxury bathing using just 140 litres of water, compared to the standard bath which uses over 200 litres. With baths using approximately 15% of the total water usage in an average household (up to 15,000 litres of water per year), this again means significant savings and improved water-efficiency to meet the Governments revised Part G standard. Measuring in at a spacious 1700 x700mm, the ECO bath does not compromise on comfort or style and will save the home owner around 30% of water.
To complete the suite, a coordinating 550 x 390mm ECO basin and pedestal with smooth contours and elegant styling is also available.
“As well as enabling the home owner to run an extremely water-efficient home with substantially lower water bills, the new ECO bathroom will appeal to housebuilders and developers needing to conform with the new Part G regulations on all new build projects,” says Lucy Humphries, Bathroom Category Director for PJH Group.
